motivation

Sometimes I like to yell at myself for not taking as many photos anymore and go through my documents and look at all the shoots I did and how proud I actually am of them. I compiled all my favorites (digital, film, instaxs, etc...) and am posting it here as a sort of motivation for myself to get my shit together. I haven't done a planned shoot since August with Becca and I don't really count that so actually it was July that I last shot with a clear intention of what I wanted in the end. Oye, I just haven't shot much this year and that makes me sad.

I know what's missing in my life, though.

Color film, duh.

I'll just go in my corner now and cry.

on your own

As I said before, I'm trying to shoot every week. I took these last Saturday when I had my first day off from work in six days. It was kind of inspired by Hailee Steinfeld's look in True Grit (which sadly I have yet to watch) and the feeling of abandonment that I saw throughout Paper Moon.

memory lane

I did a quick shoot with Angel earlier this week because I promised myself that I'd try and shoot weekly this summer. It was painfully simple and not much thought behind it except for the box of memories~ and this newly paved semi-circle near my house. I don't know why it was built, it just serves as a nice place for couples to makeout. There were two couples on the left side which is why all these photos are taken on the right side of the path.
